Lawrence Curtis Green, 94, was born Oct. 10, 1929, at home in Woods County, OK, to Ralph Vivian and Katrina Merle (Ridgway) Green. He died Monday, Dec. 25, 2023, of prostate cancer and complications from spinal tumors. Lawrence was the sixth of ten children, all who grew up in the Midwest, including Oklahoma, Missouri and Arkansas.

Throughout his life he worked as a policeman, railroad worker, electrician, created jewelry, repaired watches and worked as a farm hand. When he became a Boilermaker, he joined a brotherhood he was dedicated to the rest of his life. L.C. soon became a manager of his friends and sons working with different companies including Babcock and Wilcox, where he created devices to make construction jobs easier. Lawrence was interested in motorcycle riding, scuba diving, traveling, watching westerns, playing and watching football, learning, fact recall, but most of all, talking with his friends and family, whom he loved dearly.

Lawrence met and married Imogene Alma Bookout in Oklahoma. They had four children, Larry Curtis (Linda), Harley Clifton, Regina Kay (Dennis) and Michel Alan and stepson, Terry Bookout (Sandra).

He was pre-deceased by his parents, Ralph and Katrina; sons, Cliff and Larry; and his daughter-in-law, Linda.

Left to celebrate his life are his brother, Clarence; sisters, Barbara and Louise; daughter, Regina, and husband, Dennis; son, and good friend, Michel; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; dear cousins, dear nephews and nieces, Boilermaker Brothers and beloved friends.

Services for Lawrence were held Saturday, Dec. 30, at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home. His final resting place was Clintonville Cemetery.
