Linda Kay Cummins

Linda Kay Cummins, 64, El Dorado Springs, passed away at her home on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020.  Linda was born Jan. 10, 1956, in Nevada, to Orin and June (Brundige) Allen.

Linda grew up in Vernon County and graduated from El Dorado Springs High School in 1974. She worked as a secretary at First Christian Church in Nevada for several years and later moved to Wichita where she worked as a court recorder for 15 years until her retirement.

Linda came back to El Dorado Springs in 2012 to live near her daughter and grandchildren.

She enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing, playing basketball in her high school days and loved watching sports on television. Linda was dedicated to her family and loved being with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Traci Guinn, and her husband, David, El Dorado Springs; two grandchildren, Wade Hartman, El Dorado Springs, and Dylan Guinn, El Dorado Springs; two sisters, Violet Compton, Harwood, and Helen Compton, Harwood; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7, in Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Brother Ron Pitts officiating.  Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
