Lucille D. (Reed) Crane, 87, Kansas City, passed away on Oct. 15, 2016.

Lucille was loved by all who knew her, and she enjoyed spending time with her family and her pets.

She was born in Presque Isle, ME, and moved all over the United States as an Air Force wife before moving to Kansas City in 1971.  Lucille enjoyed traveling and most recently traveled to Hawaii and Canada. She worked for the first female Senator as a maid before working as a biscuit maker for Hardee’s for 32 years until the age of 85. She remained active in her later years, attending Royals games, NASCAR and NHRA races. She also continued to drive even in the weeks prior to her passing.  She enjoyed cooking and made sure no one went hungry.

Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, MSgt Marvin L. Crane, USAF, Retired.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen, and son, Roy; as well as a granddaughter and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 8:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at Longview Funeral Home, KC. A graveside memorial service was held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at Love Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to Truman Medical Center Charitable Foundation. Local arrangements were under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
