Luella Mae Truluck, 98, dearly loved wife and mother, departed this life May 25, 2021, at Trinity Towers in Corpus Christi, TX.

The youngest of four children, she was born in Neosho, March 6, 1923, to Jessie Shade Wiley and Albert Lester Wiley. She graduated from Neosho High School, and Joyner Business College in Carthage. While working for PET Milk company in Neosho, she met James H. Truluck, a World War II Army Sergeant. They married Feb. 20, 1943, and were together 67 years until his death in 2010.

Following WWII, they made their home in El Dorado Springs, where they reared their two daughters.  Luella’s career included the MFA Milk Company, owning and operating C&T Market and Comptroller for Witt Printing Company, until her retirement in 1995.

Luella is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings: Emma Catherine Schultz, Charles Lester Wiley and Mary Elmina Wiley.

She is survived by her children: Patricia Louise Lucke (Alan) of Corpus Christi, TX, and Beverly Jean Norris (Ronald) of Lenexa, KS. She is also survived by six grandchildren, who knew her as “Nana”: Erin Lucke, Alan James Lucke (fiancée Debra), Megan Norris Dorge (Brian), Heather Lucke Schneider (Eric), Jeanne Lucke and Adam Norris (Lauren).  Additionally, she is survived by 12 great-grandchildren: Annabelle Dorge, Andrew Schneider, Isabela Dorge, Jeremiah Dorge, Lawson and Nathan Schneider, Lily Norris, Cooper Norris, Troy Knuth, Lucy Norris, Wiley Lucke, and Benjamin Lucke. She is also survived by two nephews: Thomas Schultz (Sheryl) of Kansas City, and Bruce Wiley (Kerry) of Tulsa, OK.

A devout Christian, she was a life-long member of the Free Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a favorite charity.

Graveside services will be held at Newton Burial Park in Nevada at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 12.
