Marian Rosalee “Rosie” Floyd

Marian Rosalee “Rosie” Floyd, 88, El Dorado Springs, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2026. Rosie was born Sept. 10, 1937, to Henry and Lizzie Lovewell in Birdsong, MO.

Rosie graduated in 1955 from El Dorado Springs High School. She married Carl Floyd on Nov. 26, 1955. To this union five children were born: Linda, Bonnie, Mary, Dennis and Melissa.

Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lizzie Lovewell; husband, Carl Floyd; daughter, Mary Christine; brothers: Albert Lovewell, Olivar Lovewell, Hubert Lorenzo Lovewell, Harvey “Buck” Lovewell, William Henry “Bill” Lovewell, Jim Lovewell and Freddie Lovewell; sisters: Blanche Lovewell, Florence Witt, Agatha Bell Lovewell, Nellie Mae Melton, Lillie Marie Lovewell, Vera Mogan and Erma Lovewell.

Rosie is survived by her children: Linda Poore, Bonnie Wendt, Dennis (Sheila) Floyd, and Melissa (Brian) Bruce; eight grandchildren: Melinda Floyd, Waylen Poore, Chance (Janelle) Cyr, Kelly (Shawn) Belcher, Andrew (Tara) Wendt, Dennis Carl Floyd II, Ashley Thompson (Trenton) and Brittany Thompson; 11 great-grandchildren: Kendra Belcher, Ami Belcher, Justin Guy, Brenton Floyd, Taytyn Floyd, Rylie Wendt, Brayden Wendt, Kaden Wendt, Braxton McCowan, Kovi Cyr and Conley Cyr; and sisters-in-laws, Jean Lovewell and Edna Cowan.

Services for Rosie were held Wednesday, July 22, at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home. She was laid to rest in Pankey Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.blandhackleman.com.
