Nancy L (Walker) Moore, 90, El Dorado Springs passed away at Community Springs Healthcare Facility on Tuesday morning, Aug. 19, 2025. Nancy was born Sept. 9, 1934, in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Johnnie Land Martha A (Burnes) Walker. Nancy graduated from Rayton High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Warrensburg Business School.

Nancy married George Rhoads on Jan. 18, 1954. To their union 3 children were born, Jeanie, Jennie and Johnnie. Later in life she married the love of her life, Wesley Moore.

Nancy was a devoted mother. She was active in PTA, a room mother, a leader in 4H, Campfire Girls, Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts. In other words, anything her children or grandchildren were involved in she was too. Family was her pride and joy.

Nancy worked in accounting for numerous businesses including: her father’s business, Johnnie Walker Medical Electronics. She retired from Campfire Boys and Girls in 1999. She then moved to El Dorado Springs and went to work for Allisons, where she met and made many friends. Nancy was an active member of Eastern Star and the El Dorado Springs Senior Center for many years. She also played an active part in the Eagles Auxiliary. Nancy loved to sew, fish, garden, and raise rabbits. Most of all she loved spending time with family.

Preceding Nancy in death were her husband, Wesley Moore; her parents, John and Martha; her brother, Johnnie (Sonny) Walker Jr; sister, Martha (Sissy) Clifton; daughter-in-law, Holly Rhoads; son-in-law, Everett (Bud) Reeves; granddaughter, Robin Alexander; and grandson, Jordon Gregory.

Survivors include her three children: Jean Hummel and husband Terry of Kansas City, MO, Jennifer Reeves of El Dorado Springs MO, and John Rhoads and wife Mary of Kansas City, MO; 10 Grandchildren; 32 Great Grandchildren; and 18 Great Great Grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews and many many friends.

A funeral service for Nancy was held on August 23, 2025, at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home. Brent Bland was the minister. She will be laid to rest in El Dorado Springs City Cemetery.
