Pansy “Marie” Roby

Pansy “Marie” Roby, 93, El Dorado Springs, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023. She was born the seventh child of eight to her parents, Joseph and Viola (Dalton) Farmer on Oct. 30, 1929, in Vernon County.

She attended schools in Liberal until her father passed away. She and her mother moved to El Dorado Springs where she graduated from El Dorado Springs High School in 1949.

She married Martin Roby on Aug. 30, 1951, in Benton County Arkansas. Shortly they moved to Colorado where she worked as a seamstress. After returning to El Dorado Springs in 1974, she worked at the show factory. After retiring, she helped with the reading program at El Dorado Schools and the county library in El Dorado Springs. In her free time, she enjoyed reading and doing puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings.

She is survived by nieces, Louise Holland, Mary Ann Hinkle, other nieces and nephews and neighbor, Linda Maberry.

Services will begin at 2 p.m. Friday, May 12, at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs.
