Ruby June (Moffett) Rainsbarger, 86, Clinton, formerly of Boonville, passed away Nov. 30, 2016, at Clinton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clinton. She resided in El Dorado Springs for a while and has relatives in this area.

Ruby was born June 18, 1930, in Des Moines, IA, to Andy and Emma Kramm Moffet. She married Harold D. Rainsbarger on May 12, 1980, and he preceded her in death.

She was the youngest of eight siblings which included, twins, Robert Earl Moffet and Ruth Verle Moffet Price; Eva Fern Moffet Landis, Reba Moffet Steenberger, Oma Maxine Moffet and Jimmie Lee Moffet who all preceded her in death. A brother, Andy Ruben Moffet, Jr. of Intercession City, FL, survives.

Ruby is survived by her three children – Deena Rosado of Clinton (oldest), Henry Franklin Parks of Oklahoma City, OK, (middle), and Barbara Scroggins and family of Doyline, LA, (youngest); three grandchildren – Tammy Beale and husband of Brookfield, Lloyd Daniels and family of Eldon and Laura Wilson and family of Shreveport, LA; seven great-grandchildren – Jerrad Holloway of Colorado Springs, CO, Tyler Holloway of Chillicothe, Jordan Orr of Brookfield, Hanna Wilson of Shreveport, Lindsey Smith and family of Eldon, Dustin Daniels of Eldon and Bailey Daniels of Eldon. For pastime, she enjoyed her family, garage sales, cookin’ and telling tales to make others laugh. She was always doing something for others out of the kindness of her heart. She never drove and she lived in senior housing after losing her husband of 23 years. She once walked to the store to buy ice cream, bread and a lottery ticket. When she walked home, she set the ice cream down to scratch her ticket. She won $20,000. She was so excited; she forgot to put the ice cream in the freezer, it melted all over the floor. She stated, “I got enough money now to pay for someone to clean it up!”

Ruby and her husband, Harold, enjoyed traveling to see the country. She will be sadly missed by family and friends
