Sara McEowen

Sara McEowen, 41, passed away at her home in Jerico Springs surrounded by her family and a friend on March 17, 2018. She was born April 26, 1976, in El Dorado Springs to Ed and Ruth McEowen.

Sara was a shining light in all of her interactions. Everyone she met benefited from her genuine open-heartedness and joy of being. What she gave to her family cannot be measured in words.

She enjoyed visiting Korth Senior Center in Stockton with her grandmother, Bernita Thomas. She loved going on outings and trips with her sister, Lisa McEowen, especially to MSU baseball games, Branson shows and nature walks. Sara participated in parties and activities with local groups for the developmentally disabled. She enjoyed sending cards to her friends on holidays and was delighted to receive them in return.

Sara is survived by her parents, Ed and  Ruth  McEowen, of Jerico Springs; sister, Lisa McEowen, of Springfield; and grandmother, Bernita Thomas, of El Dorado Springs.

A celebration of life will be held this Spring with details to be announced at a later date.

Funeral arrangements were made under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
