Susan Brown

Susan passed away Thursday Nov.12, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

She was born April 28, 1956, in El Dorado Springs, to Gene and Joann (Bullimore) Carriker.

Susan graduated from El Dorado Springs High School in 1974. On June 9, 1978, she was united in marriage with Charley Brown in El Dorado Springs. To this union they had one son, John Charles Brown. She was baptized at a young age at the Filley Christian Church, where she later played the piano for many years.

She worked various jobs including Wal-Mart, Dunbrooke and their feed store. Susan loved everything Christmas. She also enjoyed crafting, decorating and cooking for the family.

Susan is survived by her husband, Charley; son, John Brown of Lebanon; sister, Pat (Dirk) Reid of Allensville, KY; sister-in-law, Jo Green of El Dorado Springs; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Beulah Brown, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Graveside services and interment for Susan Elaine Brown, 64 of Cookeville, TN. were held . Saturday Nov. 14, at Smyrna Cemetery in Cookeville.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her honor to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 332 N Lauderdale, Memphis, TN 38105. Condolences may also be sent to Charley Brown at 1929 Wildwood Road Cookeville, TN 38501 and John Brown P.O. Box 3293 Lebanon, TN 37088.
