Suzana Jemima Banister Swager, 85, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away July 20, 2016. She is survived by a large loving family who gathered in El Dorado Springs to celebrate the many wonderful stories and memories she left us.
She was a lifelong teacher, traveler and reader. Suzana taught for the El Dorado Springs school system, G.E.D. classes, college classes and always supported higher education for her children and grandchildren.
Suzana will be missed greatly by all those she touched. She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Gordon Banister; mother, Jemima Helm Banister; brother, Dr. Jack Banister; an infant brother; and an infant grandson.
She will always live in the lives of her sons – Brent Swager, Leland Swager and wife – Ronda and Timothy Swager and wife – Jayne; her daughter, Dana Swager McCullick and husband – Donny; and her many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. All celebrate her many contributions.
Final rest will be in the Anna Edna Cemetery, Jerico Springs. Arrangements are under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
