Terry L. Harra, 80, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022, at the Manorah Medical Center, after a long bout with Renal Cell Cancer complicated by COVID. Terry was born May 10, 1942, in Kansas City. Terry was the son of Kenwood Lee Harra and Ollie Mae (Allen) Harra.
After High School, Terry joined the United States Air Force, where he served proudly. Upon returning home, Terry opened his own cabinet shop that he successfully ran for the next 25 years. Terry spent the next 21 years working for the Missouri State Center of Behavioral Medicine. In July of 2012 Terry retired from there as the supervisor of the maintenance department.
Terry was preceded in death by both his parents, his son, Kenneth L. Harra, and his two brothers, William Harra and Keith Harra.
Terry is survived by his wife of 34 years, Alice Faye (Hunt) Harra and four step-children, Kimberly Turner – Jasper, Regina Mellinger – Carl Junction, Alan Sharp – Alba, and Stephanie Sharp – Lamar. Terry was blessed with 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Tuesday, Sept. 13, at Bland-Hackleman.
Service will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, at Bland-Hackleman. Graveside following at Hamby Cemetery.
