Todd Lane Hopkins

Todd Lane Hopkins, 62, was born in El Dorado Springs to James Hopkins and Betty (Vittetoe) Hopkins on July 2, 1964. He passed from this life on Aug. 20, 2026 at the family home in El Dorado Springs. Todd graduated in the El Dorado Springs High School class of 1983. After school, Todd worked at a variety of jobs. He worked construction in Florida and helped build the golf course at the J.W. Marriott Resort in Orlando, FL. While in Florida Todd played drums in various bands with his brother Dale. Todd and his brothers Dale and Danny were all talented musicians. When Todd moved back to Missouri, he settled in Springfield where he worked at another talent, Silversmithing. He created and made custom pieces for customers, friends and family members. He also worked for several Jewelry Stores doing custom work and jewelry repair.

Todd then moved to Natchez, MS, where he worked as a Security Guard in The State Prison system for several years. When Todd moved back to Missouri, he went to work for the Department of Homeland Security as a TSA Officer in the Branson/Springfield area. He worked that job until he left in 2019 and moved back to the family home in El Dorado Springs to help care for his mother after the passing of his father.

Todd was preceded in death by his father, James Hopkins and brothers, Dale Hopkins and Danny Hopkins.

Todd is survived by his mother, Betty Hopkins of the family home; son, Ross Hopkins of Hawaii; sisters, Robin Fugate (Harold) of El Dorado Springs, Kim Daniels of El Dorado Springs; a beloved nephew, Chandler Collins; a beloved niece, Tori Fugate and numerous other nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

There will be no funeral service. Cremation was handled by Sheldon Funeral Home.
