Vicki Corrine Summers, 67, of Columbia, formerly of El Dorado Springs, passed away Monday afternoon, Nov. 30, 2020, at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia. She was born Jan. 29, 1953, in Culver City, CA, the daughter of Carroll Allen LaJaunie and Elizabeth “Betty” (Henderson) LaJaunie.

She married Loy Merton Summers on Nov. 25, 1988, in Lexington. He preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 2016.

Vicki attended the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in El Dorado Springs. She enjoyed cooking, flower gardening, reading, her cats and most of all hanging out with her grandkids.

Surviving are two sons, David R. Watson, and wife, Dana – El Dorado Springs, Brian Watson, Columbia; one step-son, Scott Summers, and husband, Gino, Kansas City; one daughter, Anna-Marie Bias, and her husband, Jason, Ashland; and one step-daughter, Kim Tafesh, Houston, TX; mother, Betty LaJaunie, Blue Springs; two brothers, Brendan LaJaunie, and wife, Penny, Climax Springs, and John LaJaunie and wife, Carol, Lexington; two sisters, Karen LaJaunie, and husband, John Shaw, Grain Valley, and Mary LaJaunie, Liberty; twelve grandchildren, David J., Joseph, Briana, Anthony, Zachary, Jaden, Seth, Makaylyn, Madisyn, Fatima, Hassan and Hosein; two great-grandsons, Payton and Wayde; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Loy, she was preceded in death by her father, and a brother in infancy, Timothy LaJaunie.

Mass of Christian Burial was Tuesday, Dec. 8, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Clinton. Interment was in Shady Grove Cemetery, Racket, Mo.
