William Jason Vance, 54, Forsyth, formerly of El Dorado Springs, was born to William Vance and Dorothy (Hamilton) Vance on Sept. 11, 1967 and passed away on June 8, 2022 at his home. He was married to Louanna on May 28, 1992. They were married for 30 years at the time of his passing.
Jason was an avid outdoorsman and loved his time walking in the forest with his dog, Wally. He was a fisherman,not always catching, but enjoyed his time on the water. This year he had a successful time mushroom hunting and eating his find. He was a Chef by trade and cooking (always making a mess) gave him pleasure. Jason was a fan of the Chiefs and tried not to miss watchinga game. He loved being the center of attention. He was in the Army from 1986 to 1990.
Preceding him in death were his parents, William and Dorothy and his grandparents.
Survivors include his wife, Louanna; two step-sons, Brian Jennings and wife, Veronica and Tommy Jennings and wife, Kristi; two brothers, Mackey Vance and Robert Vance and wife, Sheri; one sister, Janet Robb; seven grandchildren, Skylier Winn, Dalton Jennings, Madison Jennings, Katie McGrath, Kyle Jennings, Austin Jennings and Colt Jennings; two great-grandchildren, Liam Jennings and Stellah Jennings.
Services for Jason Vance were held Tuesday, June 14, at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home with burial in Clintonville Cemetery. Family received friends on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
