Avoid standing in line – Get your deer hunting permit now

Permit vendors are using a new sales system this year so the process might take longer.

Permits are available at the MDC office, 1109 S. Main St. in El Dorado Springs and multiple permit vendors in town, online at mdc.mo.gov, or the Mo Hunting smartphone app.

You will need: Your conservation number (found on an old permit or heritage card), driver’s license number or social security number and date of birth (if your were born after Jan. 1, 1967, you will need your hunter education number which is on your hunter education card).

MDC will open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov.11, (Veterans Day) to issue permits.
