The El Dorado Springs Boys basketball had a full week of basketball last week. Monday the Bulldogs traveled to Warsaw for an Ozark Mountain Conference match-up. The Warsaw Wildcats took an early 14-6 lead and then held off the Bulldogs the rest of the game for a 61-49 win. The Bulldogs were led in scoring by Shelby McKinney with 18 points.

The Bulldogs had no time to rest as they hosted the Lockwood Tigers the next night. Again the Bulldogs fell behind early, trailing 22-14 at the end of the first quarter. But this time the Bulldogs made a furious comeback taking a 50-47 lead into the 4th quarter. El Dorado made seven of nine free throws in the 4th quarter to hold onto the lead and win 67-63. Preston Robison and Shelby McKinney both had 17 points and Donovan Collins and Brayden Housh both added 11.

Finally, on Friday the Bulldogs hosted Cedar County rival Stockton. The Stockton Tigers proved to be too much for the Bulldogs taking a 24-10 lead into the half and then holding on for a 52-30 win. Derek Hayes and Shelby McKinney led the Bulldogs with 8 points each.

The basketball continues this week as El Dorado hosts the Archie Whirlwinds on Tuesday and the Butler Bears on Friday.
