Spoonbilling is great. The river is up a little and has some current. They are catching them from Osceola up river past Taberville to the cut off. From a boat is best, but bank fishermen are catching them.

Size depends on who you are and how you fish. I’ve seen small fish up to some in the 80s. If you have a Live Scope on your boat, you can pick out the bigger fish.

Snagging season runs through the end of April.

Blue cats have bit all winter and are still biting. People are still buying crappie minnows which means they are catching crappie.

We are open from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. Closed Mondays.

The white bass are hitting like crazy. The lake is calmer today than it was yesterday.

Jeremy Stapp, guide out of Stockton State Park Marina, called the Sun about noon Sunday. He said the water temp. is 58 degrees so big crappie are out at 10 to 12 ft. getting ready to go to the bank. The small males are already there. The white bass are up both rivers hitting paddle tails in earth colors.

He said people are finding morel mushrooms.

Our hours are 8-5.
