The river has stabilized way out of its banks. The boat ramp is covered. Fishing for blue cats has started to pick back up on trotline. It’s better from a boat than on rod and reel.
Flatheads are not biting.
It was an above average spoonbill season. It started off good then tapered off. When the river came back up here at the last, there was so much trash in the river you couldn’t snag. The biggest I weighed was that 115 pounder. We had its photo in the Sun.

They are catching crappie and white bass off the bridge up against the dam. Minnows are the best bait.

The guys are filtering in getting ready to fish the Tucker Tire tournament Saturday and Sunday. They haven‘t been having any luck. They’ve been having the tournament here for about 30 years. They fill every room and boat slip.
Editors note: Bryce Satoff said the guy who won the tournament told him he had 22 lbs. of bass. He didn’t say what bait he used.

I, saw a boat come in with crappie, catfish and a walleye. The guy said he caught one short smallmouth.
