Caplinger Woods

The bridge is open 24/7 365.

Another fishing reporter whose residence is in Caplinger said the Corps has not run water in weeks. As a result, he said, Caplinger Woods store was closed for the season – no kayaking, no float trips. But if you want to camp, you still need to make a reservation.

The reporter said he tried to take a float trip and walked carrying his kayak more than he floated. He said holes of water that should be over your head were waist deep.
