Mound City, KS, angler, Lucas Fornelli topped the leaderboard Nov. 22, as 24 anglers faced cool cloudy weather to fish the ABA American Fishing Tour tournament on Stockton Lake. Fornelli reported catching most of his 16.61 lb bag of fish with a jig, casting into shallow water. He took Big Bass honors with a 4.98 lb bass and won $165 plus a $25 gift card from Heritage Tractor.

Second place went to new member, Beau Browning of Hot Springs, AR. His fish weighed 15.21 lb. Scott Tassi was 3rd with 14.23 lb followed by Eric Craft with 13.97 lb. Jim Banks took 2nd Big Bass with a 4.12 lb largemouth.

The water temperature in dropping as well as the water level. Water temps were around the 54 degree mark. The water level is down 5 1⁄2 -6 feet. The day was mostly cloudy all day with air temps staying in the mid 40’s with a little north wind and an occasional light shower.

Anglers earn valuable points toward the divisional Angler of the Year title and the divisional Champion of the Year. The points Angler of the Year from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.
