Under Unfinished Business: Plans for Garage Sale, May 7 and 8, were finalized and discussion held about items to specifically list in the newspaper ads. Set-up will be Thursday afternoon, 5 p.m., with the sale Friday (8 -4 p.m.) and Saturday (8 – 12). Carol Parmenter volunteered to remove all left-over items. Discussion was held on ways to accommodate present members in upcoming events as well as ways to interest new members. Discussion was held concerning our upcoming Members Annual Garden Tour on Saturday, June 12. It was decided that efforts would be made by all to invite prospective members to that event. After discussion, the group agreed to a field/educational trip to Back in Thyme Gardens and Culinary Center, Neosho, on Saturday, May 22. We are to meet in the old Wood’s parking lot at 8:45, leave at 9, carpooling from there.

Under New Business: President Ursula Fuller announced that Twilight Gardeners Garden Club received an award at the District Spring Meeting in Springfield, April 2. The Certificate was for 2nd place as the District’s Club of the Year. In response to illness in the Dyer family, the club decided to provide a meal for them during this recovery period. Carolyn West is to make this happen.

Program: Rama Hart presented an interesting program on All American Flower Selections and how all that comes about. There are approximately 80 trial gardens in the US which grow plants to be considered for this honor.

Our next meeting will be on May 18, 2021 at the home of Sharon West Lansing.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned and the group recited the closing vows.

Our hostess Rama Hart then served delicious refreshments which included her own Butterfly Sugar Cookies, iced and yummy.

Respectfully submitted,

Sharon West Lansing
