CEDAR COUNTY COMMISSION

The Cedar County Commission met November 18,2024. Present: Kenneth Thomton; Presiding Commissioner; Ted Anderson, Southern Commissioner; Don Boultinghouse, Northern Commissioner; and Heather York, County Clerk.

Don Williams cancelled his visit with the commission today.

Arthur & Joseph Greydanus cancelled their visit with the commission but plan to reschedule.

Ron Allumbaugh stopped in to visit with the commission.

Assessor Leah Morton presented weekly court order reports 11/12/24-11/15/24.

Collector Lisa Nelson presented weekly court orders 120979, 120980,120982-120988,120991,120993,120996, 121001,121003-121007,121009,121011-121012,121014-121018

Sheriff McCrary presented weekly report on Inmate Housing Cedar-19; Dade-15; Barton-5; Polk-1; Hickory-141

Weston Hanger and Lee Schofield, Great River Engineering; Wide1 Inc; and Josh Dugan, MODOT concerning BRO projects. The commission signed invoices for BRO-R020(001) and BRO-R020(19). Received an estimated cost of $1,061,805 on bridge #2500017 replacement. Signed contract documents for CR752 bridge replacement BROR020(19) with anticipated start date of 12/02/24 with completion in 90 days.

DJ Ford, Road & Bridge Supervisor attended the Great River Engineering meeting then presented his weekly activity report.

Treasurer Peggy Kenney presented monthly sales tax report.

Reviewed monthly fee report from the Sheriffs Office.

Received signed Non-Emergency Dispatch Services Agreement from City of Stockton.

Reviewed MODOT letter from Aaron Reider, scheduling 2024 Non-State Bridge Inspections with Cedar County.

Reviewed supplemental insurance plan options for 2025. Tabled until the following meeting on 12/02/24.
