The Cedar County Commission met January 21, 2025. Present: Kenneth Thornton; Presiding Commissioner; Ron Alumbaugh, Northern Commissioner; Ted Anderson, Southern Commissioner; and Heather York, County Clerk.

Assessor presented weekly court orders 01/13/2025-01/17/2025.

Received a call from SEMA reporting a Flood Risk meeting to be held at the Cedar County Courthouse on January 28, 2025 from 9:OO-11:OO a.m.

Arlo Rupke, Emergency Manager stopped in to discuss concerns about radio tower repairs needed. After a later discussion with the Ambulance District, Arlo feels his repair concerns will be taken care of.

Chief Deputy Sheriff Jeffries stopped in for weekly report of Inmate Housing Cedar-20; Dade-10; Barton-3; Polk- 1=34.

Commission visited with HR to review the options for the TOMO Drug testing and opted to send potential new hires to the TOMO testing facility in Springfield for pre-employment drug testing.

Collector Lisa Nelson presented weekly court orders 12 153 1- 12 1580.

Motion by Anderson to approve increasing county mileage reimbursement rate from $.52 to $.62 effective for 2025, second by Alumbaugh. Alumbaugh – Yes; Anderson – Yes; Thornton – Yes

Reviewed CCMH request for Surplus Property approval from November 2024. This was tabled for review next week.

Reviewed CCMH board minutes June-November 2024.

Reviewed report of revenue collection by the Circuit Clerk.

Reviewed Magellan pharmacy rebate for Quarter 2,2024 in the amount of $6,643.69.
