The Cedar County Commission met March 24, 2015. Present: Kenneth Thornton, Presiding Commissioner; Ron Alumbaugh, Northern Commissioner; Ted Anderson, Southern Commissioner; and Peggy Kenney, County Commission Administrative Assistant.
Assessor Leah Morton presented weekly court orders.
Collector Lisa Nelson presented court orders 121901-121949.
Met with Judge Mutton, Sheriff James McCrary.
Discussed employee salaries and budget.
Received :pest control” quote from Shield Post Control Services LLC.
Joe Dykes inquired about zoning concerning heavy trucks on county roads.
Received Health Department Report.
Discussed water issue with carport, commission will research options.
Met with DJ Ford, Road and Bridge Supervisor for weekly status report.
Approved the revised CCMH surplus property list: 2 Dynasty 8 ft freezers, 2 Dynasty 6 ft upright freezers, 1 stair stepper exercise machine, 1 elliptical exercise machine.
Approved expenditures to be paid.
Called Titan Roofing; Kelson Kropf will setup final walk-through inspection; final retainer to be paid once inspection has been satisfied.
Called Bob Clark with Roeslein Pipeline along 25 Rd., 125 Rd., 1370; commission was not notified when the pipeline was installed according to county’s agreement; Roeslein will setup a site meeting with project manager and county.
Jerry with Travis Elliott Attorney’s office will setup a phone meeting for 11:00 a.m. Monday 31, to discuss MO State Audit Report.
Judy Nichols, Historical Society presented a contract which would allow Historical Society to move the large stones salvaged from the tornado to County Rd and Bridge lot. There will be no charge to the county, county will not be responsible for damage but will in good faith try to keep the stones from being damaged.
Sarah Turner, Circuit Clerk discussed the “right to carry;’ discussed carpet not sticking down well from new installation.

Met with DJ Ford, Road and Bridge Supervisor for weekly status report; revoked handicap signs on west side of courthouse being that entrance door is now locked for safety purposes; Marty Reez reported issues with tree trimming.
Approved expenditures and payroll to be paid.
Motion by Anderson; Second by Thornton to pay BRO contractor pursuant to the signed contract, prior to the reimbursement of MoDot.

Leah Morton, Assessor inquired about 1% and 11/2 % commission collected for assessor’s office, Lisa Nelson, Collector will request a report from Clear Basin that shows the breakdown.
Carla Lowe, Treasurer presented sales tax report.
Paul Long submitted insurance information for consideration.
