CEDAR COUNTY COMMISSION

Cedar County Commission met Aug. 18. Present: Kenneth Thornton, Presiding Commissioner; Ron Alumbaugh, Northern Commissioner; Ted Anderson, Southern Commissioner and Peggy Kenney, Administrative Assistant to the County Commission.

Met with Elected Officials to discuss general county business.

Approved minutes from Aug. 11, 2025.

Assessor Leah Morton presented weekly court orders dated Aug. 12 – Aug. 18, 2025.

Collector Lisa Nelson presented court orders 122596-122607. Contacted State Auditor’s Office concerning over collection of tax payments.

Clay Jeffries presented DSSF Grant.

Met with Road and Bridge Supervisor.

Dough Haines reported culvert on 1250 Rd. was washed out.

Continued work on tax freeze applications.

Reviewed board bull report; $58,323.69 submitted by Circuit Clerk; change in statute, in the future will be submitted by Sheriff.
