CEDAR COUNTY COMMISSION

The Cedar County Commission met November 10,2025. Present: Kenneth Thomton; Presiding Commissioner; Ron Alumbaugh, Northern Commissioner; Ted Anderson, Southern Commissioner, Cada Lowe, Treasurer, Peggy Kenney, Commission Assistant, Taylor Austin, WIC Clerk for CCHD, and Chrislynn Price, County Clerk,

9:00 a.m. Collector Lisa Nelson presented court orders to be signed. Commission signed court orders, numbers 122940-122971, 122954-122956 were rejected, tax year 2025.

9:01 a.m. Commission reviewed Circuit Clerk and monthly fees, and Assessor weekly fees

9:03 a.m. Thomton reviewed and signed annual Tyler Agreement (Rapid Financial) for the Circuit Clerk

9: 15 a.m. Thorton reviewed and signed annual Premium Only Plan for 125 plans

9:20 a.m. Thronton reviewed and signed CCHD Safety Cribs for Missouri Program Contract

9:30 a.m. Mikayla Neil with University of MU Extension Office, Patrick planning a few projects, new 4H year started 10.1.25, meaning the option to enroll in new clubs, and Linda is holding a science activity workshop on December 6, 2025.

10:05 a.m. Galen Floyd and Shawn Mayr for GBS renewal and supplemental insurance discussion, Discussion on the county going through Sun Life for all supplemental to have billing accuracy and not so many different billings, Alumbaugh made a motion to approve the consolidation and Sun Life’s presentation, Anderson seconded the motion, the motion passed unanimously with Thomton voting yes as well. GBS Renewal report for County of Cedar, Galen presented 2 options for Health Insurance for the County, the first option had a total percentage increase of 21% vs the second option with only a 9% total increase. Anderson made a motion to follow and approve the 2nd recommendation by Galen with the 9% total increase, Alumbaugh seconded the motion, motion passed unanimously with Thomton voting yes as well. Thomton signed the agreement with GBS.
