The Cedar County Commission met February 9,2026. Present: Kenneth Thomton; Presidmg Commissioner; Ted Anderson, Southern Commissioner, Ron Alumbaugh, Northern Commissioner, Cbrislynn Price, County Clerk.
9:00 a.m. Assessor Leab Morton presented weekly report, discussion on concern about SB3
9:15 a.m. Kenneth Thomton signed agreement for Rapid Financial for Tax Payback Cards.
955 a.m. Kenneth Thomton signed Settlement Agreement for AIG Western World in the amount of $15,626.16 from roof damage in April of 20%.
10:06 a.m. Weston Hangar with Great River Engineering with update. Thronton signed extension of contract for 6 months.
10:45 a.m. Thronton signed agreement with City-Tel-Coin for the Sheriff’s Office
11:00 a.m. Anderson moved to approve $500 for emergency reimbursement and $7,500 for opioid expenses upon approval of certain projects for Cedar County Fentanyl Awareness//F’oisoning Control with a total of $8,000. This expense will be approved and expended upon receipt of quotes or details of what money is being expended on. Almnbaugb seconded the move; the move passed unanimously with Thornton voting yes as well.

9:45 a.m. Kira Reoh concern on East 2000 RD, needs ditch work on north side, south side was worked on last year, couldn’t do northside because of grass growth, but now the grass is burned off and feels it would be a great time.
