9:00 a.m. Collector Lisa Nelson presented weekly court order numbers 124292-124322

9:10 a.m. Assessor Leah Morton presented weekly report

10:50 a.m. Concerned citizen about road work needing done around 2451 to 1550 rd.

11;40 a.m. Conference call with Victoria Barker and Environmental Specialist M iCo mejo regarding The El Dorado Picinic food permits.

1:00 p.m. DJ Ford Road and Bridge Supervisor presented weekly update

The Cedar County Commission met July 27,2026. Present: Kenneth Thomton; Presiding Commissioner; Ted Anderson, Southern Commissioner, Ron Alenbaugh, Northern Commissioner, Carla Lowe, Treasurer, and Peggy Kenney, Advisor.

9:00 a.m. Cedar County Ambulance District, Tom Ryan and Mike M’mter visited about the RQI-P GO CPR Training System and their request for OPIOID funds to pay for the system. The system is for training all EMS personnel, schools, bus drivers, etc …. throughout the County to train for pre and post Narcan use. Tom confirmed there is no management/subscription cost, it is a one-time cost of $10,000.00. Information was collected; the Commission will take it into advisement.

9:10 a.m. Assessor’s Office presented weekly report; court order list from 7/22/2026 – 7/27/2026 and shared the Form 11-A and the increase of the numbers from last year. Discussed BOB feedback.

9:30 a.m. Signed acknowledgement of the establishment or re-plating of a housing addition, Canter Ridge Estates. Approval does not obligate Cedar County or special road districts to maintain the roads for the subdivision but deems the mads the responsibility of the Canter Ridge Estates

9:45 a.m. Sheriff McCrary bmught the jail report. Discussed a previous issue with impounded dogs and informed that a kennel was donated to the Sheriff’s Office and requested to keep the kennel at the County Barn and have someone hired to tend to the dogs.

10:30 am. Collector Lisa Nelson presented weekly court order numbers 124323 – 124333

11:40 a.m. Took a phone call from a citizen checking on the status of a house that was demolished by fire. Commission informed the citizen the houselproperty bas been sold.

1:00 p.m. DJ Ford presented the county road report. Phone call with a citizen about adding rock to 2001 road. (Dogwood Special)

2:00 p.m. DJ and Ted Anderson went to look at a road out at Dogwood Special.

3:40 p.m. Motion by Presiding Commissioner, Thomton to enact An Order and a Temporary Moratorium
