The Cedar County Commission met August 10, 2026. Present: Kenneth Thomton; Presiding Commissioner; Ted Anderson, Southern Commissioner, Ron Alumbaugh, Northern Commissioner, Peggy Kenney, Advisor; Carla Lowe, Treasurer.

Minutes from August 3,2026, were approved and signed

Leah Morton, Assessor, presented a weekly report from August 4-10,2026

Signed Terrorism Grant from Department of Public Safety presented by Deputy, Tabitha Nance

Bills were approved and signed

Motion by Ted Anderson; Second by Ron Alumbaugh to Amend Senate Bill 190 Ordinance #20241230 Application to automatically renew qualified taxpayers; New applications will be accepted March 151h- May 15th annually

Signed contract with McBride, Lock and Associates to perform the financial audit FYE 2024,2025, 2026

Met with DJ Ford, Road &Bridge Supervisor

The Cedar County Commission met August 17,2026. Present: Kenneth Thornton; Presiding Commissioner; Ted Anderson, Southern Commissioner, Ron Alenbangh, Northern Commissioner, and Carla Lowe, Treasurer

9:00 a.m. Extension Office regarding air conditioning issues. And discussion of a bond requirement by the Extension Council. Matters to be discussed.

9:10 a.m. Assessor’s Office presented weekly report; court order list from 8/10/26 – 8/14/26

9:30 a.m. Collector Lisa Nelson presented weekly court order numbers 124356 – 124394

9:45 a.m. Sheriff McCrary brought the jail report. Discussion of mobile fingerprint units.

1:00 p.m. DJ Ford presented the county road report.

1:30 p.m. Sheriffs Office presented the Show Me Zero, radar grant through MO DOT. Motion was made by Ted Anderson, 2”1 by Ron Alenbaugh, all in favor. Agreement was signed.
