The Cedar County Commission met July 6, 2016. Present were  – Marlon Collins, presiding commissioner; Don Boultinghouse, northern commissioner; John A. Fox, southern commissioner; Peggy Kenney, county clerk.

Minutes from June 27, 2016, were approved.

Met with Road and Bridge department.

Tom Lewis discussed 525 Rd.

Neil Brunner reported 2301 Rd was in need of maintenance.

The following candidate for southern commissioner was present: Tom Bryant.

Bid opening for reconstruction of Stumpford Bridge.

Lehman Construction Co California, MO. $539,994.50

Bid was tabled for further consideration.

Final hearing considering the closure of County Road 2375 South of Missouri State Highway 32 in Lot 2 of the Northwest 1/4 and Northeast 1/4 of Section 2, Township 33 North, Range 25 West of the 5th PM, Cedar County, Missouri.

Speaking in opposition: Jimmie and Pamela Hendricks.

Speaking in favor: Kevin Morgan, Special Road District.

Commissioner motion by Collins to close the afore mentioned road; Second by Fox.

11:00 a.m. Motion by Collins to enter closed session to discuss potential litigation; Second by Boultinghouse.

No decisions were made; No motions were taken.

Met with Leon Dwerlkotte, sheriff.

Monthly reports submitted by the following office holders: Peggy Kenney, county clerk; Melinda Gumm, circuit clerk; Carole Wilkerson, recorder of deeds; Patrick Davis, University of MO Extension.

Bills and payroll were approved and paid.

Met with Chad Pyle, assessor, to process court 21216 through 21234 to add-on the assessed valuation of newly purchased personal property.
