Met with Chad Pyle, Assessor

Requests to process court order 25725-25731, to add-on the assessed valuation of newly purchased personal property.

Mikayla Fox, MU Extension

Presented monthly report of MU and 4H activities.

County resident stopped in to request embankment mowing on CR1300.  Currently shoulders are being mowed; embankments will be done after the urgency of the shoulders has been completed.

Treasurer Peggy Kenney submitted checks to be signed from special funds and FEMA reimbursement to Special Road Districts.

Received phone call from county resident requesting road maintenance, referred to Caplinger Special.

County resident concerned about KC Star news article concerning the private schools in Cedar County.

Met with Sheriff James McCrary

Weekly Report of Inmate Housing: 57

Discussed the change in inmate staff nurse, following into the need for a medical contract with a private entity.  Mentioned again the need to pass a 911 tax which will improve emergency response to more remote locations.

Met with Bob Floyd, El Dorado Springs Fire Department

Presented a quote for washer extractors, drying cabinet, and additional gear for approval thru the Cares Act Funding.  Commission referred him to City of El Dorado Springs for him to request funding to the County thru the City application.  Commission agreed that with a letter of justification indicating the purpose for the need that they felt it was a qualified request.

Met with DJ Ford, Road & Bridge Supervisor

Discussed closing a portion of CR1901 north of CR800 tomorrow (09/15/2020) to install a new pipe.  Commission requested DJ address concerns of windrows being left on the side of the roads when grading.

Reviewed a representation letter closing the financial audit performed by Daniel Jones & Associates.

Reviewed quote from Henry Kraft for touch free dispensers and antibacterial foam hand wash.

County resident stopped in to thank commission for placing gravel on CR850.

Bills were approved.
