Met with Sarah Newell, Polk County 911 Director concerning 911 Grant

Presented Missouri 911 Service Board Project Agreement for signature authorization. The grant awards $877,835.54 to service Polk, Cedar, Hickory and St. Clair Counties.  The system will take 3-5 months to build, and is scheduled to take 12-18 months to do cutover from the old phone systems but each county will be operational on the new system before the end of 2021 with a final project completion deadline of March 22, 2022.  Polk County 911 will provide staff to assist with cutover for as long as it takes to complete.  Missouri 911 Board issued a press release; Cedar County will issue its own.  The 911 grant includes 5 years of maintenance totaling $149,000, divided by 4 counties, divided by 5 years = $7,450 maintenance per year.  Maintenance fees will become an expense to the county after the 5 years.  Cedar County will also pay an estimated annual service fee of $28,001 per year for equipment.

Met with DJ Ford, Road & Bridge Supervisor

Discussed repairs on CR2451 and CR325, the graders are all currently being repaired today.

John Deere is on site today to repair the old grader, and warranty work on one of the new ones.

Cat Grader is also being repaired today.

Commission requested the Peterbuilt truck be taken in for repairs this week.

Time changes March 14, 2021, road and bridge will begin 10 hour days on March 18, 2021.

Discussed the Courthouse drainage problems, French drains cannot be added to the building due to its construction. DJ will get started on the project tomorrow and will work with Commissioner Anderson to come up with a solution.

Discussed draining water from the floor heating system at the road and bridge barn.

Resident called in to report the need for rock on CR325.

Rusty Norval stopped in to drop off final invoice for Cares Act Funding reimbursement.  We will hold until we receive invoices that have been approved by the ambulance board so we can issue one payment.

Motion by Boultinghouse to accept the Cedar County Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees approval to place the Cedar County Health Complex on the surplus property list.  The County Commission will appoint an agent.  The acceptance of a buyer and price will be reviewed when the CCMH board presents a resolution for the actual sale in accordance to RSMO 205.374, second by Anderson. Set appointments to view SB391 hearing on March 12, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., attend CCMH board meeting March 15, 2021 at 11:30 a.m., and to meet with Mid-Missouri Insurance on March 22, 2021 at 11:30 a.m.

Reviewed weekly MAC legislative report, monthly reports for Cedar County Health Department, Prosecuting Attorney, and Sheriff’s Office.
