Received a complaint of thistles on a resident property that has previously received a letter, but has not completed the elimination of the thistles as required by law. Commission followed up with Prosecuting Attorney Ty Gaither, noting the resident is past the specified deadline so it is necessary to follow through with hiring out to cut the remaining thistles on the reported property. The expense will be applied to the landowner’s tax bill. A contractor was contacted to do the work this coming Saturday, and the Sheriff or a deputy will be present to access the property.
