On the evening of December 25, 2024, Cedar County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a residence in Jerico Springs following a report of a domestic assault. Upon arrival, Chief Deputy Clay Jeffries and responding deputies secured the scene and initiated an investigation. Following the investigation, one individual was arrested at the scene. Charges have been filed for domestic assault and assault on law enforcement stemming from the incident.

On December 24, 2024, Cedar County Sheriff’s Office personnel, including Sergeant Elder and Chief Deputy Clay Jeffries, responded to a report of a disturbance in the Jerico Springs area. Upon arrival, deputies assessed the situation and initiated law enforcement procedures to ensure the safety of those involved.
Following the investigation, one male subject was arrested at the scene on charges of harassment and resisting arrest. The individual was transported to the Cedar County Jail without further incident.
