Message from the Chief Deputy

It’s Hot Out There Let’s Be Smart About It

The summer heat is no joke, and it’s only getting hotter. Whether you’re working outside, hitting the lake, or just running errands take precautions to stay safe.

Here’s what we ask:

Drink plenty of water even if you don’t feel thirsty

Take breaks in the shade or air conditioning

Watch for signs of heat exhaustion: dizziness, headache, or nausea

And please never leave kids, pets, or anyone in a parked car, not even for a minute

Also, check in on your elderly neighbors and those who may not have AC. A quick phone call could save a life.
