Hood stated he located fresh tire tracks going into his property and chain on his gate cut. He said a pile of tires moved to open the gate. He noted he inspected his property and John Deere Industrial Gator UTV was missing. UTV painted industrial orange with a green fender on the right side. It has a diesel engine and is a 4×6 with all new tires. Value of UTV estimated at $2,500.

In the early morning hours on Jan. 17, a St. Clair County deputy responded to Hwy 82 at NE 775 Rd, in reference to vehicle in ditch. On scene, blue Lexus 300 located in a ditch. Check on the license plate came back vehicle was registered to individual from Willard. It was noted the plate was reported stolen out of Springfield.

Check of vehicle identification number came back vehicle was reported stolen from Garland, TX, Dec. 15, 2016. Vehicle towed and contact made with Garland Police Department.

Jan. 17, a St. Clair County deputy took a report from Aaron Roberts in reference to property damage. Roberts stated in the early morning hours on Jan. 16 an individual kicked the front passenger door of his 2011 Chevrolet Aveo.  Roberts noted he is trying to allow the individual to make good on paying for the damage to the vehicle, but no attempts have been made to make payment or arranged to get the vehicle fixed. The incident occurred on SW 1051 Road, El Dorado Springs.

Jan 18 – Deputy took stealing report from Deborah Hopkins. She reported a check was stolen from her and passed at Wal-Mart in Clinton on Jan. 12. Suspect was named. Hopkins stated she was informed about the check being taken the previous day and noted it was taken from the middle of the check book so she would not notice it missing.  Check cleared the bank and overdrafted her account.  Hopkins noted this is the fourth or fifth time this has happened. Request for prosecution made and formal charges pending.

During late night hours Jan. 18, St. Clair County deputy was patrolling on TT Hwy, and noticed a vehicle parked on the side of the road with no one around. Further investigation found four individuals hunting for arrowheads. A check discovered one of the individuals, Darren Troxel, 49, El Dorado Springs, had an active St. Clair County warrant for his arrest. Troxel arrested on the warrant charging him with class A misdemeanor resisting arrest. Bond set at $1,000 cash or surety.

   Warrant issued in October 2015 and stems from investigation in February 2015 when Troxel ran from St. Clair County deputy who was at residence in Collins looking for another individual.

Jan 19 – Erika Bootier, 24, Springfield,  arrested on   St. Clair County warrant for probation violation on four original counts of class C felony forgery. Warrant issued Aug 31, 2016, and bond set at $5,000 cash only. Original charges stem from incidents December 2014 when Bootier cashed four checks that were stolen from an individual.

Deputy took  burglary report on SE 1251 Rd. Michael Leuty reported someone broke into his residence and ransacked the house. Leuty stated he found the back door open and some of his tools sitting by the inside of the door. Check of rest of residence revealed several items missing. Items included voltmeter, tester phone, 18 volt De-Walt cordless drill, Uniden 20 channel base scanner, several medications including Ambien CR, Oxycontin, Diclofen AC, Flomax and Soma. Evidence collected at scene. Value of items estimated at $1,855.

Jan 21 – Bobbi Ball, 39, Lowry City, arrested on a no bond parole violation warrant.

St. Clair County Jail staff reported  theft of commissary funds from one inmate by another inmate. Investigation revealed inmate accessed the in-jail commissary kiosk account for another inmate. Further investigation revealed one inmate cancelled an outstanding order for product/services and used the funds to purchase phone use services that were later used and traded to other inmates. It was noted the inmate accessed and used the account without the other inmate’s consent or permission. Amount of product/services stolen totaled $106.10. Formal charges are pending

Jan 22 – Deputy took stealing report from Christopher Hannah and Robert Dutcher.  The two men stated they have written permission to trap in the Linscomb Conservation area off Hwy OO. They said they went out and set traps and game cameras in various areas. Sometime between Jan. 21, at 2 p.m. and Jan. 22, at 8 a.m. one of their Minnesota brand traps and one of their Stealth Cam game cameras were stolen.  They noted someone tried to remove another trap, but was unable to remove the anchor from the ground. The name tag was removed from the trap. Total value of items estimated at $143.20. Investigation forwarded to Missouri Department of Conservation.

Jan 23 – Deputy arrested Daniel Wire, 53, Osceola, on St. Clair County warrant charging him with class D felony possession of a controlled substance and class D misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond set at $15,000 cash or surety. Charges stem from Osceola Police Department investigation Jan. 22.

Timothy Kreisler, 48, Lowry City, arrested on  St. Clair County warrant charging him with class C felony possession of a controlled substance. Bond set at $10,000 cash or surety.

Charge stems from traffic stop conducted by St. Clair County deputy during the early morning hours the same day on Hwy 13 south of Shelby’s in Lowry City. During investigation contact made with Kreisler, driver of vehicle, and a small candy cigarette box noticed on driver’s side floor board. Further investigation discovered a small clear plastic bag containing a crystal substance inside the box. Substance field tested positive for methamphetamine. Kreisler taken into custody and arrest warrant was obtained.
