On July 30, 2018, officers responded to 212 West Walnut concerning a reported theft of utilities. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On July 30, 2018, officers responded to 500 East Fields Street, Trailer #2, concerning a reported disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Brian K. Snethen, 43, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Domestic Assault 2nd Degree. Officers completed a probable cause statement for this charge. Officers received a Cedar County Warrant, charging Snethen with Domestic Assault 2nd Degree, with $10,000.00 bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On July 30, 2018, officers responded to 312 West US 54 Highway, Woods Supermarket, concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of two remote control toy drones.  A Juvenile suspect was identified and referred to the juvenile office.

On July 31, 2018, officers arrested Jesse R. Voegele, 29, of El Dorado Springs, for a Cedar County Warrant, charging him with Probation Violation on the original charge of Fraudulence Use of a Credit/Debit Device with no bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On July 31, 2018, officers arrested Douglas D Dozler, 52, of El Dorado Springs, for a St. Clair County Warrant charging him with Probation Violation on the original charge of Steal, with a $5000.00 cash bond and a Cedar County Warrant charging him with Probation Violation on the original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance with no bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending court appearances.

On August 2, 2018, officers responded to 305 West Gay concerning a reported larceny. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On August 2, 2018, officers arrested John M. Berten, 65, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with Driving While Intoxicated. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On August 3, 2018, officers responded to 610 South Main concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a Samsung Galaxy tablet. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On August 4, 2018, officers responded to 211 West Oak Street concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a 20 inch black with red and white accents, Kent Ambush BMX bike. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On August 4, 2018, officers responded to 227 West US 54 Highway, Pete’s Convenience Store, concerning a reported larceny (leave without pay). The investigation revealed the theft of $38.21 in fuel. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On August 4, 2018, officers responded to 119 West Hickory concerning a reported domestic assault. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On August 4, 2018, officers arrested Alexander J. Masters, 19, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Tampering with Motor Vehicle-1st  Degree, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Endangering the Welfare of a Child – Allowing Child To Ride On Back Of Motorcycle Without Protective Headgear, Operate Motorcycle When Driver’s License Not Validated for Such Operation 1st Offense,  and  Fail To Wear Protective/Approved Headgear When on Motorcycle In Motion. Officers completed a probable cause statement for these charges. Masters was released on summonses charging him with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Fail to Wear Protective Head Gear, and Manner of Riding on Motorcycle. Additional charges are expected in this case.

On August 5, 2018, officers responded to 227 West U.S. 54 Highway, Pete’s Convenience Store, concerning a reported larceny (leave without pay). The investigation revealed the theft of $33.72 of fuel.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On August 5, 2018, officers responded to 410 North Jackson concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a spare tire. A report taken and the investigation continues.
