In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

On December 3, 2018, officers of the El Dorado Springs Police and Voluntary Fire Departments responded to 504 E. Fields, Lot D-16, concerning a reported structure fire. Upon arrival the structure was fully involved in fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire. A report taken and the investigation continues

On December 3, 2018, officers responded to 216 W. Spring concerning theft of city utility. The investigation revealed the theft of City Water and Sewer Services. A suspect was identified and a summons was issued.

On December 4, 2018, officers responded to 100 E. US 54 Highway, Casey’s General Store, concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed that a matte black, Chevy truck, with a matte black camper shell, left without paying for $125.00 in fuel. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On December 4, 2018, officers arrested Jacob J. Patalsky, 37, for a Fugitive from out of State, (a Bourbon County, Kansas, Felony Warrant charging him with Failure to Appear, on the original charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Interference with Law Enforcement, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, with a bond of $5,000.00). He was transferred to Cedar County Jail pending bond and extradition.

On December 5, 2018, officers arrested Jenny J. Nix, 30, of El Dorado Springs, for a Vernon County Warrant charging her with Failure to Appear, on the original charges of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle, No Insurance, No Operator’s License, and Displaying the Wrong License Plates, with no bond. Officers also issued Nix summonses for Driving While Suspended and Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle. She was transferred to the Vernon County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On December 5, 2018, officers arrested Karl L. Horning, 36, for a Bates County Warrant charging him with Possession of a Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, with a $10,000.00 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On December 5, 2018, officers arrested Misty D. Mace, 39, for a Vernon County Warrant charging her with Failure to Appear, on the original charge of Non-Support, with a $750.00 cash bond.  She was transferred to the Vernon County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On December 6, 2018, officers responded to the 100 Block of W. Spring (City Park) concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of Christmas lights. A juvenile suspect has been identified and referred to the juvenile office.

On December 6, 2018, officers responded to 314 W. Lafayette concerning theft of city utility. The investigation revealed the theft of City Water and Sewer Services. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On December 6, 2018, officers arrested Angela K. Barlow, 39, charging her with Driving While Revoked. She was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On December 7, 2018, officers responded to the 500 block of South Kirkpatrick Street concerning a suspicious person. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Tiffany A. Williams, 42, of El Dorado Springs, charging her with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On December 7, 2018, officers responded to 218 W. Marshall concerning a theft of City Utilities. The investigation revealed the theft of water, sewer, and trash services. Suspects have been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On December 8, 2018, officers of the El Dorado Springs Police and Voluntary Fire Departments responded to 403 E. Fields concerning a reported dumpster fire. Upon arrival the dumpster was involved in flames. Firefighters extinguished the fire. . A report taken and the investigation continues.
