On January 7, 2019, officers responded to 1503 South Main concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a red and black, emergency travel kit with jumper cables and a first aid kit. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On January 7, 2019, officers arrested Douglas W. Bradler, 27, of El Dorado Springs, for a Johnson County Warrant charging him with Failure to Appear, on the original charge of Harassment-Second Degree, with a $400.00 cash bond.  He was transported to St. Clair County Jail pending bond or transfer to Johnson County.

On January 7, 2019, officers responded to 302-A S. Kirkpatrick concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of miscellaneous makeup products, a red lace dress, and a gold, thin bracelet. A suspect has been identified, a report taken, and the investigation continues.

On January 7, 2019, officers responded to 111 E. US 54 Highway, Kennon Ready Mix, concerning a reported theft from a motor vehicle. The investigation revealed the theft of vehicle insurance cards and paperwork on various vehicles. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On January 7, 2019, officers responded to the station to take a delayed report of a larceny from a motor vehicle which occurred at 610 E. Gentry. The investigation revealed the theft of a checkbook which was recovered and returned to the owner. A suspect has been identified and the investigation continues.

On January 7, 2019, officers responded to 100 E. US 54 Highway, Casey’s General Store, concerning a reported assault. A suspect has been identified, a report taken, and the investigation continues.

On January 8, 2019, officers responded to 109 North Cedar concerning disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Jesse L. Ruston, 20, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On January 9, 2019, officers responded to 302-A South Kirkpatrick concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of an electric Craftsman drill and a bottle of Polo cologne. Suspects have been identified, a report taken, and the investigation continues.

On January 9, 2019, officers responded to 404 South Ohio Street concerning a reported Juvenile Runaway. The juvenile was located. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Veronica B. Roberts, 17, of El Dorado Springs, charging her with Endangering the Welfare of a Child. She was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On January 9, 2019, officers arrested Juliette E. Shaw, 49, for El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrants charging her with Failure to Appear to Answer to Driving While Revoked, with a $636.00 cash bond, and Failure to Appear to answer to Nuisance/Junk with a bond of $125.50, and St. Clair County Warrants charging her with Careless and Imprudent Driving, with a $145.00 cash bond, and charging her with No Proof of Financial Responsibility, with a $243.00 cash bond. She was transferred to the St. Clair County Jail pending bond and court appearances.

On January 9, 2019, officers responded to the 300 block of West Lafayette Street concerning a motor vehicle accident. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Christopher L. Thompson, 45, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with Driving While Suspended and Failure to Provide Proof of Insurance. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On January 9, 2019, officers arrested John W. Kasper, 63, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with Driving While Revoked and Speeding. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On January 10, 2019, officers arrested Andrew G. Vessey, 32, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with Driving While Revoked, Displaying Wrong License Plates, Failure to Provide Proof of Insurance, and Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On January 11, 2019, officers of the El Dorado Springs Police Department, assisted by the St. Clair County Sheriff’s K-9 Unit, served a search warrant at 423 South Main after receiving information concerning illegal drug activity.  Officers located evidence of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Donna L. Pitts, 52, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant charging her with Failure to Appear, on the original charges of Peace Disturbance and Driving While Intoxicated, with a $1,221.50 bond, a Board of Probation/Parole Felony Warrant, charging her with Parole Violation/Parole Absconder, on the original charge of Possession of Amphetamine, with no bond, and for the Probable Cause of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Amphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance-Marijuana, and two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Officers completed a probable cause statement for the charges. She was transported to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance. Officers also arrested Jack C. Heavener, 27, of El Dorado Springs charging him with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and the Probable Cause of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Amphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance-Marijuana, and two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Officers complete a probable cause statement for the charges. Heavener was released on summons pending a court appearance. Officers also issued a summons to Dawndi D. Heavener, 49, of El Dorado Springs, charging her with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On January 11, 2019, officers of the El Dorado Springs Police Department, assisted by the St. Clair County Sheriff’s K-9 Unit, served a search warrant at 502 East Spring, after receiving information concerning illegal drug activity. Officers located evidence of illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia and firearms. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Dustin D., Burlingame, 21, Sara R. Culbertson, 25, Dakota Otte, 22, of El Dorado Springs for the probable cause of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Manufacturing a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Keeping and Maintaining a Public Nuisance and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.  Officers completed probable cause statements for these charges. Also arrest was Thomas N. Johnson, 24, of Braymer, MO, for the probable cause of Possession of a Controlled Substance.  They were later released on summonses pending a court appearance.  The investigation continues and additional charges are expected in this case.
