In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

On February 25, 2019, officers arrested Waylen D. Poore, 38, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant charging him with Failure to Appear, on the original charges of Resisting Arrest, Trespassing, and Littering, with a bond of $402.00. He was released on his own recognizance pending a court appearance.

On February 25, 2019, officers responded to 309 South Forest concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed that sometime between 9:00 a.m. on February 1, 2019, and 12:00 p.m. February 25, 2019, someone had stolen two, Gallagher Solar Fence Chargers, a silver, Barrel Transfer Pump, a large, black plastic tool box, and keys to riding lawn mowers.

On February 25, 2019, officers arrested Kristina L. Spencer, 34, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant charging her with Failure to Appear, on the original charges of Failure to Obey an Officer and Local Ordinance Violations for Dog Regulations, with a bond of $628.50. She was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On February 26, 2019, officers arrested Dani L. McRae, 28, of El Dorado Springs, for a Vernon County Warrant charging her with Failure to Appear, on the original charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, with a cash only bond of $270.00. She was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On February 26, 2019, officers arrested Elmer D. Witt, 80, of El Dorado Springs, as a result of a traffic stop. He was charged with Driving While Revoked and Expired Plates. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On February 26, 2019, officers arrested Aaron W. Plummer, 36, of El Dorado Springs, for a Probation and Parole Warrant charging him with Parole Violation, on the original charges of First Degree Property Damage and Possession of a Controlled Substance, Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana, with no bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On February 26, 2019, officers arrested Juliette E. Shaw, 49, of El Dorado Springs, for a Cedar County Felony Warrant charging her with Failure to Appear, on the original charge of Driving While Revoked/Suspended, with no bond, a St. Clair County Warrant for Failure to Appear, on the original charge of Operating a Motor Vehicle in a Careless and Imprudent Manner Involving an Accident, with $100.00 cash bond, and a St. Clair County Warrant charging her with Failure to Appear, on the original charge of Operating a Motor Vehicle without Maintaining Financial Responsibility-1st Offense, with a $200.00 cash bond. She was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On February 26, 2019, officers responded to 423 South Main concerning a reported domestic assault. Suspects have been identified, a report taken, and the investigation continues.

On February 27, 2019, officers responded to 400 South Ohio concerning a reported larceny with property damage. The investigation revealed a broken window on a shed and the theft of a black, rusty, three legged fire pit with a mesh cover. Suspects have been identified, a report taken, and the investigation continues.

On February 28, 2019, officers arrested Travis L. Smith, 41, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant charging him with Failure to Appear, on the original charge of Speeding with a $105.00 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On March 1, 2019, officers responded to 100 East US 54 Highway, Casey’s General Store, concerning a reported larceny/shoplifting. The investigation revealed the theft of a can of Steel Reserve beer. A report was taken and the investigation continues.

On March 1, 2019, officers arrested Heather L. Kershner, 44, charging her with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Under 35 Grams of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On March 1, 2019, officers responded to 1301 East Industrial Parkway concerning a delayed report of an assault which occurred on February 28, 2019. A suspect has been identified, a report taken, and the investigation continues.

On March 1, 2019, officers arrested Thomas B. Jewell, 38, of El Dorado Springs, for a Vernon County Felony Warrant charging him with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid, with a $5,000.00 bond. He was transferred to the Vernon County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On March 2, 2019, officers responded to 109 North St. James concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed that sometime between 10:24 a.m. on March 1, 2019, and 10:24 a.m. March 2, 2019, a package containing metal shims was taken. A report was taken and the investigation continues.
