In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

On June 24, 2019, officers responded to 111 West Martin concerning a delayed report of a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of one pedestal fan and a green bicycle.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 24, 2019, officers responded to 305 South Grand Street concerning a reported trespassing. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Juliette E. Shaw, 49, of El Dorado Springs, charging her with Trespassing and Obstruction-Failure to Obey Lawful Request of a City Official. She was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On June 24, 2019 officers arrested Juliette E Shaw, 49, of El Dorado Springs, charging her with Fugtive from Justice concerning a Johnson County, Kansas, Bench Warrant charging her with two counts of Identity Theft. Officers completed a Probable Cause Statement on the charge. On June 25, 2019, officers served Shaw a Cedar County Warrant for Fugitive from Out of State, with a $25,000.00 cash bond. She was transported to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and extradition.

On June 24, 2019, officers responded to 425 South Main concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a light blue, Diamondback, Cool Streak, BMX Bicycle. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 26, 2019, officers responded to 200 McCrary Circle concerning a male subject displaying a firearm in a threatening manner. The investigation resulted in the arrest of James M. Rigg, 27, of El Dorado Springs for the Probable Cause of three counts of Unlawful Use of a Weapon, two counts of Domestic Assault in the Fourth Degree, and two counts of Fourth Degree Assault. Officers completed a Probable Cause Statement for these charges. On June 27, 2019, officers served Rigg with a Cedar County Felony Warrant charging him with two counts of Unlawful Use of a Weapon with a $50,000.00 bond. He was transported to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On June 26, 2019, officers responded to 200 McCrary Circle, Apartment 27, concerning a reported assault. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Megan R. Rigg, 29, of El Dorado Springs on the charge of Third Degree Assault. She was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On June 27, 2019, officers arrested Richard Kevin Jackson, 51, of Harwood, for a El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant charging him with Failure to Appear, on the original charges of No License and No Proof of Insurance, with a bond of $251.00. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On June 27, 2019, officers responded to 219 West Walnut concerning a reported larceny. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 27, 2019, officers arrested Brandon L. Parker, 21, of El Dorado Springs for a Vernon County Felony Warrant charging him with Obstruction, Failure to Obey Judge’s Order, for Possession of a Controlled Substance, with no bond. He was transported to the Vernon County Jail pending a court appearance.

On June 27, 2019, officers responded to 200 West McCrary Circle, Apartment 27, concerning a reported peace disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Raelynn A. Nichols, 33, of El Dorado Springs, on the charges of Peace Disturbance and Property Damage. She was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On June 28, 2019, officers responded to Casey’s General Store, 100 East US 54 Highway, concerning a reported larceny/shoplifting. The investigation revealed the theft of lighters. A suspect has been identified, a report taken, and the investigation continues.

On June 28, 2019, officers arrested Thomas R. Hill, Jr., 43, of El Dorado Springs Pleasant Hill Warrants charging him with the following: Failure to Appear on the original charge of Possession of Marijuana, with a $200.00 cash bond, Failure to Appear, on the original charge of Possession of Controlled Substance, with a $200.00 cash bond, Failure to Appear, on the original charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, with a $150.00 cash bond, and Failure to Appear on the original charge of Driving While Suspended, with a $200.00 bond. He was released on his own recognizance pending a court appearance.

On June 28, 2019, officers arrested John J. Cox, 37, of El Dorado Springs, for a Bates County Felony Warrant charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, with a $15,000.00 bond. Officers also completed a Probable Cause Statement on the charges of Resisting Arrest. He was transferred to the Bates County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.
