In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

On October 1, 2019, officers responded to the 800 block of South Park Street concerning a small child left unattended. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Rachel L. Butterfield, 38, of El Dorado Springs, charging her with Endangering the Welfare of a Child. She was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On October 2, 2019, Officers responded to 327 West Hickory Street, concerning a report of trespassing. The investigation resulting in the arrest of Nicholas D. Mitchel, 28, of Appleton City, Missouri, charging him with Trespassing. Officers received an Order for 96 Hour Detention, Evaluation, and Treatment, and Warrant for Mitchel, stating to transport Mitchel to Cox North in Springfield, Missouri. Officer served Mitchel with a summons for trespassing and transported Mitchel to Cox North in Springfield.

On October 2, 2019, officers responded to108 North High concerning the theft of utilities. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On October 2, 2019, officers responded to 315 East Fields, apartment C, concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of debit cards.  Suspects have been identified and the investigation continues.

On October 3, 2019, officers responded to 200 South Main Street concerning a reported Larceny. A suspect has been identified and the investigation continues.

On October 3, 2019, officers responded to 1007 South Jackson concerning a reported burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of a Mossberg Shotgun and a Charter Arms Revolver.  A suspect has been identified and the investigation continues.

On October 3, 2019, officers responded to 109 South Main concerning a reported tampering with a motor vehicle. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Christopher S. Christensen, 22, of El Dorado Spring, charging him with Larceny Under $500.00 from a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Drug paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana 10 grams or less, and Tampering with a Motor Vehicle. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On October 3, 2019, officers responded to Wood’s Supermarket concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a container of Carnation Instant Breakfast. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On October 3, 2019, officers responded to 205 1/2 West US 54 Highway, Dollar General Store and 1200 South Main Street, MFA Producers Grain, concerning a report of suspicious persons. The investigation resulted in the arrest of April D. Green, 41, and Terry R. Usher 26, of El Dorado Springs charging them with, Trespassing, Stealing and Unlawful Use of a Dumpster. They were released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On October 4, 2019, officers arrested Megon E. Brown, 28, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of being a Fugitive from Justice for a Johnson County, Kansas Warrant charging her with Domestic Battery, with a $1500.00 bond. She was transported to the Cedar County Jail pending extradition to Johnson County, Kansas.

On October 4, 2019, officers responded report to 303 West Hickory Street concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed a Troy Bilt push mower was stolen.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On October 4, 2019, officers arrested Lindsay T. Fears, 20, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, for a Butler County Probation Violation Warrant on the original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance with a $20,000.00 cash bond. She was transported to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On October 4, 2019, officers responded to 200 East Oak concerning a reported Larceny.  The investigation revealed the theft of approximately $200.00 in US currency. A suspect has been identified and the investigation continues.

On October 4, 2019, officers responded to a reported larceny from a vehicle in the 700 block of South Park Street. The investigation revealed the theft of a cell phone. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On October 5, 2019, officers responded to 305 West Hightower concerning a reported burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of medications.  Suspects have been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On October 5, 2019, officers arrested Damien L. Harder, 23, of El Dorado Springs, on the probable cause of being a Fugitive from Justice for a Shawnee County Kansas Warrant, charging him with Theft of Property or Services greater than $1500.00.  He was transported to the Cedar County Jail pending extradition.

On October 5, 2019, officers responded to 205 West US 54 Highway, Dollar General Store, concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a black wallet with a “V” on the outside, with its contents.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On October 6, 2019, officers responded to 100 East US 54 Highway, Casey’s General Store, concerning a leave without pay. The investigation revealed the driver of a black and green 2005 Chrysler Sebring passenger car left without paying for gasoline. A report taken and the investigation continues.
