The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 85 requests for assistance this past week, Jan. 27-Feb. 2. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance 18, Animal Control 6, Assist Other Agencies 11, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 0, All Other Requests for Assistance 50, Summons 5.

Police Report

On January 27, 2020, officers responded to a delayed report of a stolen motor vehicle from 317 South Ohio Street. The investigation revealed the theft of a white 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix. The vehicle was later recovered by Wilson County, Kansas, Deputies. Suspects have been identified and the investigation continues.

On January 30, 2020, officers responded to 105 North Forrest concerning a reported burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of a .22 caliber rifle, a .25 caliber handgun with ammo, $20.00 on coins and jewelry. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On January 31, 2020 officers arrested Chad E. Hale, 42, of El Dorado Springs, for a Barton County Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Non-Supportive, with a $350.00 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On February 2, 2020, officers responded to 114 Winner Road concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of checks and medications. Suspects have been identified, report taken and the investigation continues.

On February 2, 2020, officers arrested Brandon L Parker, 22, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Driving While Revoked. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On February 3, 2020, officers responded to 113 West Broadway concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of Social Security Card and Birth Certificate. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On February 3, 2020, an officer responded to 313 West Pine Street concerning a reported burglary.  The investigation revealed the theft of clothing, a tool box, a big weed eater, a 50 inch TV and hand tools. Officer arrested Trenton J. Jarvis, 22, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Burglary 2nd degree, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Armed Criminal Action, who was found at the scene. Officer applied for and received a Cedar County Warrant, charging Jarvis with Burglary 2nd Degree, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Armed Criminal Action, with a $20,000.00 bond.

On February 2, 2020, an officer responded to a report of a larceny that occurred at 800 South Cedar Street. The investigation revealed the theft of 2 metal wagons. The items were located and return to owner.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On February 4, 2020, Officers arrested Bret A. Leaver, 51, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Expired Operator’s License with a $50.50 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On February 4, 2020, officers responded to 204 South Grand concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of birth certificates and a wood stove. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On February 4, 2020, officers arrested John R. Herndon, 21, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Stealing. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On February 5, 2020, officers arrested Richard L. Tigner, 53, of El Dorado Springs, for a Nevada Municipal Court Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Driving While Suspended with a $525.00 cash bond. He was transferred to Nevada pending bond or a court appearance.

On February 5, 2020, officers responded to 302 A South Kirkpatrick concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a TV remote and a polished sea shell. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On February 6, 2020, officers arrested Karl L. Horning, 37, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, with a $ 231.00 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On February 7, 2020, officers responded to 1111 South Forest concerning a reported burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of a large bag of crappie lures. A report taken and the investigation continues.
