The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 130 requests for assistance this past week, Feb. 10-16. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance 13, Animal Control 10, Assist Other Agencies 28, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 0, All Other Requests for Assistance 69, Summons 6.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On February 11, 2020, officers responded to 503 East Gentry concerning young children unattended. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Makynzie L. Raines, 20, of El Dorado Springs, for on an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging her with Failure to Appear on the original charges of Resisting Arrest, with a $301.00 bond and a Cedar County Warrant, charging her with Property Damage with a $250.00 cash bond. She was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On February 11, 2020, officers responded to 322 West Hickory concerning a reported Domestic Assault. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Davis C. Long, 30, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Domestic Assault 4th Degree. Long was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On February 11, 2020, officer arrested Steven E. Boyd, 18, of El Dorado Springs, on a Vernon County Warrant charging him with a Class E Felony of Resisting Arrest/Detention/Stop by Fleeing with a $25,000.00 bond. Boyd was transferred to the Vernon County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On February 11, 2020, officers arrested Shane H. Gardiner, 42, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Gardiner was released on summons pending a court appearance. Officers also arrested Shane T. Lakin, 40, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Driving While Revoked, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Officers applied for and received a Cedar County Warrant charging Lakin with Possession of a Controlled Substance with a $5,000.00 bond. Lakin was transported to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On February 13, 2020, officer responded to a report of larceny at 110 Winner Road. The investigation revealed the theft of an Anderson, AR 15, semiautomatic rifle, in .223cal/5.56mm and a Play Station 4, one controller and 2 games. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On February 14, 2020 hours, officers responded to 114 Winner Road in reference to a juvenile beyond parental control.  A juvenile suspect was identified a referred to the Juvenile Office.

On February 14, 2020, Officer arrested Machaleah L. Deeser, 29, of El Dorado Springs, for a Christian County Warrant, charging her with Failure to Appear on the original charge of 13 counts, of Passing Bad Checks, with a $2,000.00 cash bond and a Wright County Warrant, charging her with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Fraud – Insufficient Funds Check, with a $1,000.00 cash bond. She was transported to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On February 15, 2020, officers responded to a reported larceny from a motor vehicle at 401 North St. James.  The investigation revealed the theft of a large floor jack, several Craftsman ratchets and sockets, a breaker bar, and several other hand tools. Suspects have been identified a report taken and the investigation continues.

On February 16, 2020, officers responded to 100 East US 54 Highway, Casey’s General Store, concerning a juvenile curfew violation.  Officers identified two juvenile suspects. The juvenile suspects were referred to the Juvenile Office for a Curfew Violation and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On February 17, 2020 officers responded to 408 North Grand, apartment 39, concerning a reported larceny from a motor vehicle. The investigation revealed the theft of vehicle registration forms and insurance card. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On February 17, 2020, officers responded to 317 South Ohio concerning a reported larceny.  The investigation revealed the theft of a Play Station 3, 54 inch television, a digital camera and other electronic items.  A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On February 18, 2020, officers responded to 305 West Hightower concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a LG Galaxy cell phone. A suspect has been identified a report taken and the investigation continues.

On February 18, 2020, officers responded to the 100 block of West Hightower concerning a motor vehicle accident. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Paul K. Johnson, 44, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with Driving While Intoxicated Prior Offender, Driving While Revoked, No Proof of Financial Responsibility, Careless and Imprudent Driving with an Accident, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On February 19, 2020, officers responded to 101 South Park Street concerning a reported peace disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Jayson S. Collins, 36, of Sarcoxie, Missouri, for a Jasper County Warrant, charging her with Possession of Controlled Substance, with a $500.00 cash bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On February 19, 2020, officers responded to 213 Westhaven concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a drill, hand tools, wrench set, and a socket set. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On February 19, 2020, officer arrested Kate S. Corley, 34, of Nevada, for a Vernon County Warrant, charging her with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Fraud – Insufficient Funds Check with a $500.00 cash bond, and a Nevada Municipal Warrant, charging her with Failure to Appear on the original charges of Dog at Large, No Dog Tag, and No Rabies Vaccination, with a $230.00 cash bond. She was transferred to the Vernon County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On February 19, 2020, officers arrested Juliette E. Shaw, 50, of El Dorado Springs, for El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrants, charging her with Failure to Appear on the original charges of Driving While Revoked and Nuisance, with a $842.50 bond and Failure to Appear on the original charges of Trespassing and Fail to Obey an Officer, with a $401.00 bond. Shaw was also arrested for the probable cause of Fugitive from Justice concerning a Johnson County, Kansas, Warrant, charging her with Identity Theft. Officers applied for and received a Fugitive from Out of State Warrant with a $10,000.00 bond. She was transported to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On February 19, 2020, officers responded to 1401 South Park Street, Cedar County Memorial Hospital, concerning a reported assault at an unknown location. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On February 19, 2020, officers responded to 502 East Twyman concerning a reported burglary and motor vehicle theft.  The investigation revealed the force entry into the residence at 502 East Twyman, as well as the theft of items and a Silver 2003 Chevrolet Tracker. The investigation resulted in the arrests of Trenton J. Jarvis, 22, Brandon L. Parker, 22, and Aron P. Zimmer, 41 of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Burglary 2nd Degree and Larceny Under $500.00. Officers applied for and received Cedar County Warrants charging them with Burglary 2nd Degree and Larceny Under $500.00 with $25,000.00 Cash or 10% paid to Court bonds. They were transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance. Additionally the vehicle was recovered locally and returned to owner.

On February 20, 2020, officers responded to the station concerning a delayed report of a larceny at 300 East Freeman Street. The investigation revealed the theft of a Husqvarna chainsaw, 2 folding wagons, and two gas cans. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On February 23, 2020, officers responded to 315 West Fields concerning a reported theft. The investigation revealed the theft of cash. Several suspects have been identified and the investigation continues.

On February 23, 2020, officer responded to 500 East Fields, # 17, concerning a reported larceny. A report taken and the investigation continues.
