In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 117 requests for assistance this past week, June 15-21. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance 23, Animal Control 12, Assist Other Agencies 18, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 1, All Other Requests for Assistance 63, Summons 5.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On June 16, 2020, officers arrested Diamond L (Applebee) Marshall, 21, of El Dorado Springs, for a Cedar County Warrant, charging her with Violation of an Order of Protection with a $500.00 cash bond. She was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On June 16, 2020, officers arrested John D Donahue Jr, 35, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Stealing and Utility Tampering with a $953.00 bond. He was release on recognizance pending a court appearance.

On June 16, 2020, officers arrested Tagger L. Kellum, 26, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Possess Drug Paraphernalia and Possess Marijuana with a $401.00 bond.  He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On June 16, 2020, officers arrested Gregory Brent Jackson Jr, 20, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Bicycle Equipment Required. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On June 18, 2020, officers responded to 115 East US 54 Highway, Pitt Stop, concerning a report of counterfeit US currency. The investigation revealed a person had attempted to pass a counterfeit twenty dollar bill.   A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 18, 2020, officers responded to 408 North St. James concerning reported property damage. The investigation revealed damage to a motor vehicle.  A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 20, 2020, officers responded to 710 South Main Street concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a 64gig Samsung Galaxy S8 cell phone. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 21, 2020, officers responded to 1102 South Jackson concerning a Motor Vehicle Theft. The investigation revealed the theft of a 2007 Suzuki Bandit motorcycle, bearing Missouri, license GV2EL.  A report taken and the investigation continues.
