The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 126 requests for assistance this past week, Aug.31 – Sept. 6. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance 16, Animal Control 12, Assist Other Agencies 16, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 0, All Other Requests for Assistance 74, Summons 13.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On September 1, 2020, officers responded to 500 E. Fields # 19 concerning a reported Peace Disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Christina Whittle, 33 of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Domestic Assault, Possession of under 35 grams of Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia. She was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On September 1, 2020, Officers arrested Richard K Jackson 52, of El Dorado Springs, for Federal charge of a violation of Title 18 United States Code, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and knowingly makes any false statement or representation. He was transferred to the Vernon County Jail pending transfer to a Federal facility.

On September 1, 2020, officers arrested Shelby Wilson, 23, of El Dorado Springs, for a Vernon County Warrant, charging her with  Failure to Appear on the original charges of Stolen Identities, Receiving Stolen Property and Possession of a Controlled Substance with no bond,  Cedar County Warrant, charging her with Failure to Appear on the original charges of 1st Stealing, Passing Bad Checks and Tampering with a Motor Vehicle with no bond, a Fredonia County, Kansas, Warrant charging her with Failure to Appear on the original charge of a Weapon Offence with no bond, an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging her with Failure to Appear per Court order on the original charge of Stealing and a $652.00 bond. She was transferred to the Vernon County Jail pending and a court appearance.

On September 1, 2020 officers responded to 311 South Grand concerning Property Damage. The investigation resulted in the arrest of James R Willmore, 41, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Property Damage. Willmore was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On September 1, 2020, officers arrested Terry G. Coleman, 54, of El Dorado Springs, for Polk County Warrants, charging him with Failure to Appear on Possession of amphetamine with a $10,000.00 bond,   Failure to Appear on Drug Possession Narcotic Equipment with a $300.00 cash bond, and Failure to Appear on No Seat Belt with a $50.00 cash bond. Coleman was transferred to Polk County Jail pending bond and court appearance.

On September 2, 2020, officers responded to 227 West US 54 Highway, Pete’s, concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of $515.00 of Lottery scratcher tickets. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On September 2, 2020 officers responded to 115 West Joe Davis concerning a Domestic Assault. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Garrett Jones, 26, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Domestic Assault 3rd degree, and Property Damage and two Barton County Warrants, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of a moving traffic violation and for Amphetamine Possession with no bond. He was transferred to the Barton County Jail pending a court appearance.

On September 3, 2020 officers responded to 209 West US 54 Highway, Woody Motors, concerning a motor vehicle theft. The investigation revealed the theft of a silver 2003 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup truck and a red 2003 Kodiak Gooseneck flatbed trailer. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On September 3, 2020, officers arrested Christian Myers, 28, of El Dorado Springs, for a Vernon County Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Stealing $750 or more with no bond. Myers was transferred to the Vernon County Jail pending a court appearance.

On September 3, 2020, officers responded to 401 South Vernon concerning a Domestic Assault.  A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On September 4, 2020, officers responded to 404 South Park concerning a reported assault. A suspect had been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On September 5, 2020 officers arrested Ronald R. Blanks, 29, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Fugitive from Justice for a Sauk County, Wisconsin, Warrant charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Domestic Abuse, Strangulation and Suffocation, with no bond. Blanks was transferred to the Vernon County Jail pending extradition.

On September 6, 2020, officers arrested John E Sieleman II, 41, of El Dorado Springs, for a Cass County Warrant, charging him with Failure To Appear on Driving While Revoked/Suspended, with a $25,000.00 bond, an El Dorado Municipal Warrant charging him with Failure to Appear  for Driving While Suspended with a $553.00 bond, a Cedar County Warrant  charging him with Failure To Register as a Sex Offender, with a $1,000.00 cash bond, Cedar County Warrant charging him with Failure To Appear on Passing Bad Check/Fraud with a $1,000 cash bond, Henry County Warrant charging him with Failure To Register as a Sex Offender with a $5,000.00 cash bond, Henry County Warrant charging him with Failure To Appear on Unlawful Possession/Dangerous Drugs with a $2,500.00 cash bond, and a Henry County Warrant, charging him with Failure To Appear on Driving While Revoked with a $2,500.00 cash bond.  He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and court appearances.

On September 6, 2020, officers responded to 600 South Summer concerning a larceny from a motor vehicle. This investigation revealed the theft of a handgun, rifle, and flashlights. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On September 6, 2020 officers arrested Samuel Sloan, 23, of El Dorado Springs, for Jasper County Warrant charging him with Failure to Appear on an original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, with a $3,000.00 bond, Jasper County Warrant charging him with Violation of an Order of Protection, with a $500.00 cash bond and Jasper County Warrant charging him with Violation of an Order of Protection with a $10,000.00 cash bond. He is being held pending transfer to Jasper County Jail.

On September 6, 2020, officers responded to 107 West Joe Davis concerning an assault. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On September 7, 2020, officers responded to 317 West Marshall concerning a larceny from a motor vehicle. The investigation revealed the forced entry of a vehicle with the theft of a Marlin .22 Caliber Long Rifle,  detachable magazine with walnut stock and mounted scope, .22 Caliber Long Rifle ammunitions and folding K-BAR hunting knife. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On September 9, 2020, officers arrested Jesse M. Hill, 38, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charges of Property Damage and Tampering with Utilities with a $653.50 bond.  He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On September 10, 2020, officers responded to a reported theft of fencing materials at 216 West Walnut Street.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On September 11, 2020, officers responded to the station concerning a reported theft of a black Apple iphone 11 from 901 South Grand Street ( El Dorado Springs R2 School). A report taken and the investigation continues.

On September 11, 2020, officers responded to the station concerning a report assault at 1315 South Missouri 32 Highway.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On September 13, 2020, officers arrested Stephanie J Fisk, 38, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Court Warrant, for Municipal, charging her for Failure to Appear per Court Subpoena and Failure to appear per Court Order, on original charges of stealing and trespassing, with a $427.50 bond.

The department received a total of 89 requests for service.
