June 7 – Officers responded to 312 South Kirkpatrick concerning a reported domestic assault.  Investigation resulted in the arrest of Arthur L. Perkins Jr, 32, El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of domestic assault. Charge referred to Municipal Court by request of the Cedar County Prosecuting Attorney. Perkins charged with an ordinance violation of assault. He was released on summons pending court appearance.

June 8 – Officers responded to 219 West Walnut concerning a reported larceny of a motor vehicle. Investigation revealed the theft of a red 2012 Motovox, MBX, dirt bike. Investigation continues.

June 9 – Officers responded to 103 West Cruce concerning a reported domestic assault involving weapon. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Shannon C. Burns, 39, El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of unlawful use of a weapon and domestic assault third degree. Officers complete a probable cause statement for these charges. Officers received a Cedar County warrant charging Burns with two counts Class D felony of unlawful use of a weapon, one count Class A misdemeanor of third degree domestic assault, and one count Class A misdemeanor third degree assault on a law enforcement officer with a $10,000 cash only bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County jail pending bond and court appearance.

Officers responded to 209 East 54 Hwy concerning a person attempt to gain access to vehicles parked in the parking lot. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Levi R. Sieleman, 34, El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of attempted tampering with a motor vehicle. While Sieleman was in custody he committed damage to the jail cell at the police station. Officers complete a probable cause statement for damaging jail property. Officers received a Cedar County warrant charging Sieleman with a Class D felony of damaging jail property with a bond of $10,000 cash only.  He was transferred to the Cedar County jail pending bond and court appearance.

Officers responded to 301 North Grand concerning a reported stolen vehicle. Investigation revealed the theft of a black Cadillac STS, passenger vehicle. Investigation continues.

June 10 – Officers responded to the 400 block of South Ohio concerning a reported attempt larceny of a motor vehicle. Investigation continues.

Officers responded to 100 East 54 Hwy, Casey’s General Store, concerning a larceny (leave without pay).  Investigation revealed the theft of gasoline.

June 11 – Arrest: John R. Gruber, 36, El Dorado Springs, for probation violation warrants on the original charge of burglary. He was transferred to the Cedar County jail pending jcourt appearance.

June 12 – Arrest: Kent L. Maris, 52, El Dorado Springs, probable cause of drive while intoxicated-persistent offender, operating a motor vehicle without a license, failure to provide insurance, failure to keep right, failure to stop for a steady red light and assault on a police officer. Officers completed a probable cause statement for these charges. Officers received a Cedar County warrant charging Maris with driving while intoxicated-aggravated offender, third degree assault on law enforcement officer, operate vehicle on highway without a valid license, failed to drive on right half of roadway, not maintained financial responsibility (insurance), fail to obey traffic control Device with a $25,000 cash only bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County jail pending bond and court appearance.

June 12 – Officers responded to 329 West Hightower concerning a reported larceny. Investigation revealed the theft of three bicycles. Investigation continues.

Officers responded to 109 North Park concerning a reported burglary. Investigation continues.

Arrests: Jesse C. Sprinkle, 26,  El Dorado Springs, charging him with larceny and driving while intoxicated. He was released on summonses pending court appearance.

Allison N. Doody, 30, El Dorado Springs, charging her with littering and obstruction of an Investigation. She was released on summonses pending court appearance.
