In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 118 requests for assistance this past week, Jan. 18-24. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 11, Animal Control 1, Assist Other Agencies 12, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 3, All Other Requests for Assistance 35, Summons 8.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On January 18, 2021, officers responded to 409 South Forest for a reported fight in progress. The investigation resulted in the arrest of April D Green, 42 of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Assault. She was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On January 19, 2021 officers arrested Crystal D. Beckmon, 39, of El Dorado Springs, for a Felony Warrant for Parole Violation with no bond. She was later transported to Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On January 19, 2021, officers responded to 610 North Main Street concerning a reported assault.  The investigation resulted in the arrest of Robby D Stafford, 39, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Assault. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On January 21, 2021 officers responded to 318 South Grand concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a 16ft, flatbed, bumper hitch trailer and a red and black 2018 Polaris Hammerhead UTV. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On January 21, 2021, officers arrested Levi L. McNeely, 20, of El Dorado Springs, for a Cedar County Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear with the original charge of Domestic Assault 4th Degree with a $250.00 cash bond.  He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On January 21, 2021, officers responded to 407 East Patricia concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a Stevens Favorite .22 caliber rifle, Ruger Mark 3 .22 caliber semiautomatic pistol and a black and silver with a brown handle .22 caliber revolver. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On January 22, 2021, officers responded to 511 South Main, Apt 3, concerning a reported Domestic Assault. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On January 24, 2021 officers responded to 1703 South First Street for a reported burglary. A report has been taken and the investigation continues.

The department received a total of 74 requests for service.
