In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 118 requests for assistance this past week, Jan. 25-31. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 17, Animal Control 10, Assist Other Agencies 16, All Escorts 1, Nuisance 3, All Other Requests for Assistance 30, Summons 4.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On January 25, 2021 officers responded to 204 North Main concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a D&B trash dumpster. The dumpster was later recovered and returned to owner. A report was taken and the investigation continues.

On January 26, 2021, officers arrested Jerel R. Faught, 39, of El Dorado Springs, for probable cause of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On January 27, 2021, I responded to 724 East U.S. 54 Highway concerning forgery.  The investigation revealed a counterfeit $100.00 bill had been received by a business.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On January 27, 2021 officers responded to 200 West McCrary Circle concerning a reported assault. Suspects were identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On January 31, 2021, officers responded to 200 W McCrary Circle, Apt 5, concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of $1,000.00 cash. A report taken and the investigation continues.

The department received a total of 77 requests for service.
